Experience vs Evidence

Experience (经验) vs Evidence (证据)

evidence based? experience?
ego, office politics?

study? valid or not?
should not just go by numbers, dun be tricked by numbers.

we do study to find the truth but if you are not careful enough, or do not have enough knowledge to interprete study result, then it will tell you nothing, not even the truth and worst make you believe the wrong truth.

happy delivering your service.

Doctors need to keep up to date with the latest information. Unfortunately as most do up to a certain degree, some "very experience ones" don't.

If I need to go for dental procedure for example, I will look for a dentist who has graduated more than 2-3 years (at least have enough experience), but not too "experienced" and busy ones that their knowledge and skills have outdated.

On the other hand, I agree with TJ, always interprete the so-called evidence with a pinch of salt, ie: do critical appraisal rather than believe in whatever published in journals blindly.
